Thanks to Peter W2IRT and Paul K9MN (no Mary?) who submitted some great Dayton photos. THanks for the submissions, guys!!
A Hamfest favourite – the Red Searchlight Porcupine
shows up on Hamsexy about 3 or 4 times a year,
each time with a new addition. This time, it seems
some new strings holding up some antennae. I love
this car.
Another shot of the Red Searchlight Porcupine.
Wow – Batlabs brought their truck out!!
Whoah – what is this? A cap? A power transformer?
Ahh.. it’s a radio bunker! Very cool.
We’ve got a lot more in the queue…. Stay tuned!!
I love the 12 pack of miller high life oin the floor on the bottom picture he thought of everything 🙂
Radio Bunker… !! Man, that’s definately “Camo-Sexy” …. My kids thought it was cool also.. Thnx for the pic’s.
Both of thoes Shelters were my dads, the top one a sold right when he had bought it, and the bottom one is shown on his truck. We take it to Field Day and Hamvention and to White Fish Point for the N8F special Event station. I would have to say, it is one of the best stations I have ever seen.
Thanks again for the great picture.

I want one. Where can I get one?
Would that radio bunker withstand a nuclear blast at 50 yards? The old Motracs sure can but they would not be much use if the operator gets fried.
Well my dad got them at an auction, from a man who collected Old Military Stuff. That shelter is a great for contesting.

Gee, thanks, I feel loved!
in particular, holly.
no sweat.
Yeah she knows. She says you aren’t worthy…… Just so you know, she is married!!!!
Hey Laura, The CAP outfit is definitely Hamsexy !!!
Ive never been interested in men.
Im shocked, not worthy eh.
not enough strobes behind the grill?
We saw a few of those shelters awhile back. They are GRC-106 high power HF communications shelters. We obtained complete ones with the radios and everything. They are heavy while empty. They are overkill in weight for a simple camper and awkward in size for anything but hanging out in and storage.
The most important thing in the radio bunker is the half rack of miller beer on the floor.
What can I say, my dad likes Miller
