So I was flipping through a popular ham radio manufacturer’s catalog this morning, and came across this gem:

I don’t know about you, but if I see some hamhump walking around in an airport with a headset on, he ain’t lookin’ too professional.

Warning the attached photo contains hamsexy underwear. With the hamsexy emergency field kit a person could have a pretty good nite out in Dayton!
This photo was taken at the last Longleat radio rally (Hamfest) at the world famous safari zoo in the UK this was the best photo. Radio amateurs were banned from the Longleat Estate because some pikey stole two drums of cable from a building site.

It just goes to show that ham radio can be enjoyed by people of all types; no matter what their QTH may be.

But dude, at least mow the lawn and clean up the busted up BBQ parts! That’s good money in scrap metal… enough to buy a few gallons of paint to slap a coat on that rusty roof.

It looks like some anonymous Wikinerd on Wikipedia seems to have a problem with our Wikipedia page (which was written by me some time ago, very quickly and just to make sure we were the first to do so). Along with posting a long, whiny diatribe on what is wrong with the article on the discussion page, he also flagged the entry as needing to be cleaned up, and violating Wikipedia’s Neutral Point of View policy.

Whoever that guy is, he’s exactly why I hate the people who govern Wikipedia. While it is a great (if flawed) resource, it’s patrolled by these insufferable Wikinerds, who devote their entire lives to Wikipedia, as if they were guardians of some sort of sacred tome.

Anyhow, while I think that it’s pretty easy to toss up a few NPOV banners and complain, I think that our article could use some cleanup to keep the Wikinerds at bay.
