NET REPORT FOR 4-19-06Great Net and Great Participation tonight everyone. Thanks for making the first Hamsexy Net that I was able to participate in as well as be NC station a blast……. You guys ARE the SHIZ NIT, well, for a bunch of damned chuckle heads anyway.
We started tonight at 02:00 GMT and tied a ribbon on it at 02:55. We had 17 check ins – including myself, and I was able to coerce 12 back for rag chew and had a constant stream of great text banter too.

Our many and amazing congratulations to our own Tom KC9ECI for winning QRZ IDOL 2006 – their first ever new-moderator elections. Tom won the popular vote, easily sliding past his other contenders. The management of QRZ are to be congratulated – Tom’s a great guy with a very fair sense of management sense, and will make a fine addition. He was one of the original moderators we recruited when the Hamsexy Forums launched, and he’s done wonders keeping our goons in line.

I may have acted a little hastily in suspending the net – while I am certainly not condoning the use of profanity or other violations of amateur radio regulations, the instances occured after the net had concluded, so the nets will continue.
I am sorry for my actions, and I hope those offended can forgive me. Thanks.

Yes folks… the Hamsexy Net is on tonight!
This is the first time that I’ve been around during net time (I’ve finished up my training seminars and I’ve got mornings free) – so I will be presiding over the Hamsexy Net! Thanks to everyone that have been handling it my stead – I appreciate it guys. We have a standard rotation for nets, it will be posted sometime in the future when it gets finalized.
There are two ways to access the net:
Echolink: *VAN-IRLP*
IRLP: Node 9007
The net will begin at 9pm EDT/6pm PDT sharp (9am Taiwan time – so I will be up early!!) Net control will be me Bryan VE3HBD/BV.
