Since many of you enjoy picking on us amber light guys, I thought I’d take some photos of my van as it currently is.

The rear upper and lower lights are TIR3’s. The uppers are mounted to the luggage rack with home made brackets. The lower ones are on a Havis Shields C-TIR-UNV bracket. The middle pair are Sho-Me Dual Hyper-Brites in Amber/Amber. They are attached to the headliner and mainly intended for use when the back door is raised as with it up, both sets of the other lights will be out of sight.

The front lights are TIR3’s on top using the same type of home made bracket as on the rear. The inside lights are Sho-Me TRIO’s mounted to the windshield.

The front lights are on one switch, the rear outer on another and the rear inner on the third. All three sets are powered by Sho-Me 11.1005SF flashers set in random flash mode.

In the near future I plan on replacing the rear upper lights with TIR6’s. Also, I’m going to see if I can’t attach a pair of Sho-Me Amber/Amber Slim-Lights to the rear seat headrest posts. If I can, i’ll remover the Hyper-Brites which I bump into now and then if I’m not thinking.

28 check-ins, not bad. Our theme for tonight was dropping the code requirement for HF – naturally everyone has an opinion on it, which is why the net lasted so long. It was a great net, though – very fun and informative.

I would also like to add that net control next week will be Tom VE3LT in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He is also one of our rotating net controllers for when I go away. Congrats, Tom! Next weel, the net, quite literally, is yours. I will be around, but I will be merely checking in as a common user.

The always fun, never dull Hamsexy Net goes live again tonight. As always, all amateurs are welcome to participate. We still have yet to get a check-in from outside of North America – maybe tonight will be the night, no?

I’m sorry that the site hasn’t been updated in a while – I spent the weekend and past few days hanging with a buddy across the border in Rochester, NY. As anyone who knows me knows, I’ll take any excuse to go on a nice long ride on my motorcycle. THis is the last time I’ll be seeing him (or the USA) before I go to Taiwan, so a manditory fun time was had by all. If you’re ever in the area, be sure to check out Dinosaur BBQ in downtown Rochester…. probably some of the best BBQ ribs north of the Mason-Dixon. They cook that shit for like 14 hours, so you can never go wrong. It’s replaced Cheeseburger Cheeseburger (at the Ferry docks) as my favourite place to stuff my face in upstate New York.

Anyhow, as some of you might know, I’ll be moving to Taiwan in a few weeks, so obviously I won’t be around to be net control for the Hamsexy Net when I’m gone (12 hour time difference between Eastern Time Zone and Taiwan). I am looking for about two or three people to take on the task of Net Control while I am gone. Rather than just giving the net to one person, I’m going to be rotating a few people through the responsibility, that way it gives us some flexibility in case someone is unavailable to take the net. If you are interested, please e-mail me at net@hamsexy.com and let us know. Please outline any experience you have running nets, and what you can contribute. Please note that you MUST have reliable access to an IRLP node in order to be a net controller. Net control cannot be done from Echolink – IRLP only. Please provide any ideas or innovations that you could bring to the net – it will all be taken into consideration.

This past weekend an informal meeting of the minds (and beer) was held on the Hamsexy Back Patio just outside of Toronto.

This Motosexy collection of radios tipped the scale a tad, but the good burgers and everflowing beer equalled things out slightly.

The Hamsexy Net…. Once again, it rears its ugly head tonight. Loved by some, hated by others, all an agree on one thing: It’s a net.
