While Seth N3JFW couldn’t make it up from Maryland to meet with us because he’s feeling under the weather, we still managed to have a good time without him (I GUESS…)

The meet was attended by Steve VA3FRY, Bryan VE3HBD, Adrian VA3AGF, Leigh VE3HYP, Justin VE3UDP, Mike VE3XLS, Rob VE3ESC and Tom (I’m sorry buddy I totally forgot your callsign!!!)

Copius amounts of beer, nachos, chicken wings and cheese-encrusted bread was consumed, and a good time was had by all. This was also the last chance I’d have to see a lot of my local friends before I go away to Taiwan for God knows how long – so it was nice to see everyone. I’m sorry I missed seeing Tom’s Hamsexy Impala, but the lightshow was quite visible as Rob and I drove by. Justin – send me the pics!! Everyone also got a chance to pose with the Hamsexy Trucker hat, which I eventually gave to Tom for buying me cheese-encrusted bread.

For those who might (or might not) know, popular QRZ user and contributor W3SY was recently banned from QRZ for unknown reasons. There was some speculation on the Hamsexy Forums regarding the reasons for this, but a popular theory had to do with W3SY’s opinions on the Catholic Church.

A contact on the Hamsexy Forums tells us that, once again, it was the work of QRZ EDITOR a “secret squirrel” Moderator on QRZ.Com’s forums who has claimed his reasons for being anonymous stem from working in the Pentagon and something to do with the 9/11 attacks (yeah yeah, we know). QRZ EDITOR is also the person behind a lot of the unnecesary and unwarranted bannings of users of Hamsexy, among other bonehead moves.

Well, it seems that Fred AA7BQ, the usually sensible owner of QRZ.COM has wisely decided to go against QRZ EDITOR‘s rash actions and re-instated W3SY. Hopefuly Fred will finally reign in his loose gun and make QRZ a more interesting, fair and safe place to discuss amateur radio (but we doubt it – what else is there for us to laugh at than QRZ EDITOR‘s latest dumb move?)

Ah shucks – and we already had a place set for W3SY at the Hamsexy dining room table of the banned.
